This necklace came about while developing the Cygnet Hook bracelet, a collaboration with leatherworker Jon Lim, aka. Mr. Hide. The name 'cygnet' means young swan. Jon gets full credit for coming up with that; I think it is a great name, speaking to the way this form is a balance of elegance and sharpness. Hand carved master. Lost wax cast in Rhode Island and hand finished in house. The cord is marine grade machine braided nylon which I wax in house. I hand dye the brown and the moss cords before waxing. The tan cord is pigmented rather than dyed and will fade to a pale grey color over time. Finished with signature sister clasps, the sides of which can pass through each other when the slots are lined up precisely parallel. 22”cord including clasps.
