This is a one of a kind Sister Link Bracelet/Necklace. The clasps are sterling silver, and were individually sand cast from a hand-made pattern. The cord is indigo dyed cotton, affixed using tapered link splices.
Size wise, as a bracelet it is perfect for a 6 1/4" wrist, +/- 1/8". If you like a snug or loose fit you could get away with +/- 1/4". As a necklace, it is ~20" including the clasps.
This piece came about from wanting to see what the Sister Link would look like with some additional material next to where the cord meets the clasp. Though I decided I'm going to stick without, the sample clasps did come out pretty darn cool. They were also really fun to make: Cut some pieces of heavy wall tube, chamfer edges, cut slots, and tension fit onto the original prototype clasp. I used some 2-part putty to fill in the little cracks, and was able to get two the two castings above with out much trouble. Something I love about sandcasting is that if you don't mind working additively and subtractivley on the same part, it enables you to try variations like this very quickly :)
