Like the Poise Cuff, this piece is inspired by the intersections of biological and technological engineering. The surface texture is a remnant of the printing process. I find it exciting that such a high-tech process leaves a texture that is so similar to wood grain, as both kinds of growth are using the build up of layers to create form. The 3D modeling was executed with assistance from Berlian Arts.
