Based on the humerus bones of a seagull skeleton that I found on Monhegan Island. Hand carved master. Lost wax cast in Rhode Island and hand finished in house. The cord is hand braided in house using a kumihimo loom. I splice the clasps in place using an original technique. The sides of the clasp can pass through each other when the slots are lined up precisely perpendicular. The tan cord is pigmented rather than dyed and will fade to pale white or grey (based on your lifestyle) over time. The other colors are all very stable. The yarn from which the cords are braided is polyester, dyed, spun, and waxed here in Maine. 22” cord including clasps. If you would like a different length please contact me before ordering.
